Ecstatic Joy, Overpowering Awe, Losing Oneself in Beauty or in Nature.

I use oil pastels and watercolors and seek to evoke wonder, urging you to pause and find magic in the mundane
—a true feeling of aliveness.

Querencia — Miniature Series I (2026)
“Querencia” is a Spanish word describing a place where one feels safe, rooted, and fully oneself: A space the soul recognizes as home.
This miniature series explores Querencia as an inner landscape.
Querencia meets 산수화.
Querencia engages in a quiet dialogue with Korean sansuhwa 산수화 (山水畵)
While sansuhwa traditionally depicts mountains and water as sites of inner cultivation, Querencia explores landscape as an interior refuge, a metaphysical home where the soul returns to rest.
Though each piece shares a common horizon and atmosphere, no two are identical. Each Querencia holds a slightly different sky, a different landscape, a different memory of peace. Each is a small, intimate sanctuary painted in watercolor on a gold-coated wood plate.
